New Year, whats trending?

Happy New Year!

We finally said goodbye to 2020 with all its chaos and uncertainty and hello to 2021 with a sense of anticipation and hope for better days. As the saying goes “out with the old, in with the new” here are a few areas in events that we foresee trending in this brand new year.

Right now, ‘I Do’

If we learned anything from 2020 it would be to not take any moment for granted. The new wedding pivot that seems to be trending and making an appearance into 2021 is saying your ‘I DO’s’ now & celebrating later. With covid event restrictions currently in place, couples are making a clear distinction between their marriage and their wedding. Opting to say their vows to become husband and wife sooner rather than later and hosting a reception style party with family and friends in the future.

Pantone's Color of the Year 2021

On December 9th, 2020 Pantone announced its color(s) of the year for 2021: PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray and PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating. This is the second time in history that Pantone has gone against tradition and named 2 colours as colour of the year. We are excited to see how the colours are rolled out across many celebrations when the time is allowed from décor to attire and most excitingly in stationery as pictured below in these beautiful wedding invitations.

Private, Destination & Scenic Weddings

Saying your vows on a Private island in the Caribbean is a luxurious and captivating option to consider as a travel incentive or event destination. A Destination Wedding can limit the number of people in attendance which many are opting for in regard to safety but most importantly a newfound admiration of intimacy between close family and friends. While private and scenic are the go-to route for many couples and their upcoming weddings, you don't have to be situated on an island feet deep in the sand to experience this vibe. Many local Wedding Planners and Coordinators have found diamond in the rough locations close to home to give couples breathtaking views and backdrops on their special day. As seen below in these stunning views in Banff, Alberta and the Island of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.
